What We Do

Program directions

Connectors works through interdisciplinary, educational, and practice-oriented approaches that aim to strengthen peaceful coexistence, constructive engagement, and inclusive participation in society.

Our programme directions are shaped by the belief that peacebuilding should be practical, context-sensitive, accessible, and connected to people's everyday realities. Across all areas of our work, we prioritize collaboration, critical reflection, local perspectives, and methodologies that empower individuals and communities to engage meaningfully with social change.

Our work combines education, dialogue, research, methodology development, and community-based approaches to support individuals, professionals, and communities in addressing conflict constructively and building more inclusive societies.

Peace Education

Learning spaces that help young people and communities practice dialogue, empathy, and constructive civic participation.

We develop peace education approaches that move beyond theory and support people in applying the values and skills of peaceful coexistence in everyday life.

Our work focuses on practical, participatory, and context-sensitive learning processes that strengthen communication, empathy, non-violence, critical thinking, emotional awareness, and constructive engagement with differences and conflict.

We work with young people, educators, youth workers, parents, and professionals through trainings, workshops, educational resources, methodology development, exchanges, and learning spaces adapted to different contexts and age groups.

We also place strong emphasis on making peace education more accessible, relatable, and connected to real societal issues and lived experiences.

Conflict Transformation

Dialogue, confidence building, and practical tools for navigating conflict with care and accountability.

Our work in conflict transformation focuses on strengthening dialogue, trust-building, cooperation, and constructive engagement across differences.

We approach conflict not only as a political issue, but also as a social, emotional, educational, and relational process that affects everyday life and human interaction.

We support initiatives that encourage critical reflection, inclusive dialogue, confidence building, and non-violent approaches to addressing tensions and divisions within and between communities.

Particular attention is given to context-sensitive and locally grounded methodologies, including youth engagement, intercultural exchange, historical reflection, and collaborative problem-solving approaches.
